How DiscipleLand Integrates Missions
Author: Ronald L. Forseth
First Paragraph:  DiscipleLand is a Bible training curriculum used by churches, Christian schools, and home schoolers across North America and, increasingly, around the world. It is a Bible curriculum that integrates missions in various ways to communicate the Biblical basis for missions and build a heart for the world into children (ages 6-14). Missions education is integrated into the entire DiscipleLand scope-and-sequence. Three units have a special missions focus (see below). DiscipleLand systematically trains children in a foundational understanding of the Bible. It challenges learners more than the typical curriculum but is designed to appeal to and motivate students through the use of vivid graphics, interesting activities, and a sequential learning program. to pursue God’s plan for them to change their world for Him.

Authors: Ronald L. Forseth and Sarah Congdon, World Concern

Finishing the Task: The Unreached Peoples Challenge
Authors: Ralph D. Winter and Bruce A. Koch
First Paragraph:  God's promise to bless all the "families of the earth," first given to Abraham 4,000 years ago, is becoming a reality at a pace "you would not believe." Although some may dispute some of the details, the overall trend is indisputable. Biblical faith is growing and spreading to the ends of the earth as never before in history.

Where Are We Now? Evaluating Progress on the Great Commission
Author: Luis Bush
First Paragraph:  To many believers in Jesus Christ, the year 2000 had great significance. It called us to redeem the time and to seize every opportunity to make disciples of all nations. Since the late 1980’s, thousands of Christian leaders and laymen have been praying for God’s direction and pursuing various courses of action. In this context, God gave birth to the AD2000 and Beyond Movement (AD2000). First gaining attention at Lausanne II in Manila in 1989, the movement spread rapidly around the globe. It addressed the question found in the Lausanne II Manila Manifesto: "Now the year 2000 has become for many a challenging milestone. Can we commit ourselves to evangelize the world during the last decade of this millennium? There is nothing magical about the date, yet should we not do our best to reach this goal? Christ commands us to take the Gospel to all people. The task is urgent. We are determined to obey Him with joy and hope."
